The Port of Aveiro concluded, at the end of 2021, the project for the Implementation of the Operationality of the Liquid Bulk Terminal, which had as its main objective to increase the conditions of safety and environmental protection of loading/unloading operations on jetty no. 24, 25 and 26 of the Liquid Bulk Terminal, thus enabling an increase in the movement of liquid bulks in the Port of Aveiro, as well as strengthening the competitiveness of the port.

The reinforcement of the operation of these jetty consisted in the construction of the connection of the existing pipe conveyor to those jetty and the implementation of rainwater and contaminated water networks and fire fighting network system.

This project was funded by Portugal 2020, under the Competitiveness and Internationalisation Operational Programme (COMPETE2020), with an investment amount of 2.6 million euros, of which 1.4 million euros come from the Cohesion Fund.
