The Port of Aveiro, through the use of Vodafone's 5G network, will demonstrate, monitor and manage cargo operation in real time, through digital replication solutions and virtual reality and augmented reality applications and devices within the scope of a project in partnership with Vodafone, Ericsson and the operators Aveiport and PTM Ibérica. This project consists in a proof of concept of cargo management and intends to be an accelerator for the modernization, efficiency and decarbonization of the Port of Aveiro, aiming to prove the added value of these technologies in the optimization and efficiency of cargo management operations of various dimensions.
