The Port of Aveiro concluded, last March, the infrastructure work of ZALI - Logistics and Industrial Activities Zone.

With this work, ZALI is now equipped with a set of infrastructures necessary for the establishment of industrial and logistics units, some of which will have access to a dedicated quay front. This is a competitive and unique logistics offer in the national port context.

Located between the Containerised and Ro-Ro Cargo Terminal and the Dry Bulk Terminal, the ZALI covers an area of 73 ha and a waterfront of around 1 km.

The Port of Aveiro intends to strengthen, in this way, its industrialisation strategy, in order to increase the attraction of new private investment, the growth of maritime flows and exports, as well as strengthening the competitiveness of the port through the offer of new services.

This project was funded by Portugal 2020, under the Competitiveness and Internationalisation Operational Programme (COMPETE2020), with an investment amount of 14.7 million euros, of which 6.3 million euros come from the Cohesion Fund.
