The Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz have launched, on June 16, an international public tender for the concession, under a public service regime, of the towage and mooring service.
This tender, with a concession period of 10 years, will provide the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz with a modern fleet of tugs with increased traction capacity, in order to respond to the current and future increase in the size of the ships that call the ports and to the goal of decarbonising its activities.
For the evaluation of the proposals, the sub-factor "tariff value", with a weight of 80%, has a decisive role in the choice of the most economically advantageous proposal, in order to guarantee an increase in the competitiveness of the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz. The proposals will also be evaluated taking into account the sub-factor "characteristics of the mandatory fleet" proposed by the candidates, with a weighting factor of 20%.
The deadline for the submission of proposals is 16 October 2023.
