APA - Administração do Porto de Aveiro, S.A. announced on 20 June 2023 the existence of 3 plots of land in the Logistics and Industrial Activities Zone of the Port of Aveiro, with a total area of 192,090m2, to be concessioned for the construction and operation of industrial units in the offshore wind sector, giving companies 30 days to submit their expressions of interest.
After the deadline, the Port Authority received expressions of interest from 5 companies (Barranquesa A S.A., Alcobre - Condutores Eléctricos, S.A., Secret4direct, Lda, CS Wind Portugal, S.A. and Solidal - Condutores Eléctricos, S.A.) for the construction of industrial units for the production of components for offshore wind farms. Some of the companies intend to occupy all of the plots, while others intend to occupy only some of the plots.
As all the plots had more than one interested party, APA, S.A. will prepare the terms of the public tender for the concession of these plots.
