On July 10th, the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz received a visit from Hugo Espírito Santo, the Secretary of State for Infrastructure.
The day began in Figueira da Foz, where the Secretary of State met the Board of Directors and had the opportunity to find out about all the investments underway and planned, followed by a visit to the port areas.
In the afternoon, the Secretary of State visited the Port of Aveiro. He saw the main investments at the various terminals and new facilities of the Catana group, which is still under construction next to the South Terminal. He also saw the industrial units of PRIO and CSWind, which are located in the port area.
The visit to the Port of Figueira da Foz was accompanied by the Councillor of Figueira da Foz Town Council, Manuel Domingues, the Captain of the Port of Figueira da Foz, Pedro Cervaens Costa, and the President of the Port Community of Figueira da Foz, Gonçalo Vieira.
At the Port of Aveiro, the visit was accompanied by the Mayor of Ílhavo, João Campolargo, the Deputy Mayor of Aveiro, Rogério Carlos, the Captain of the Port of Aveiro, Conceição Dias, and the President of the Port Community of Aveiro, Nuno Pires.
This visit took place as part of a tour that the Secretary of State is making of all the mainland ports.
