On 16 July, the Aveiro Port Authority and CS Wind Portugal signed a contract for the private use of two more plots of land, with a total area of 121,362 m2, located in the ZALI - Logistics and Industrial Activities Zone.
This contract follows a public tender launched in February this year for the private use concession of 3 plots of land in the aforementioned Logistics and Industrial Activities Zone of the Port of Aveiro, for industrial units in the floating offshore wind sector.
The concession, granted for a period of 30 years, with the possibility of a single extension for an additional period of 10 years, will generate annual revenues of 2,184 million euros.
The signing of this contract reinforces the dominant position of the Port of Aveiro at national level in terms of accommodating this type of industry, which has its own specific needs in terms of handling large cargoes through the Port of Aveiro.
CS Wind Portugal, located in the Port of Aveiro, manufactures equipment for the production of offshore wind energy and, after this concession, will occupy a total area of 414,332 m2.
