The Port of Aveiro has taken another step towards the completion of the Maritime Accessibility Improvement Project, with the signing of the contract for the preparation of the Maritime Accessibility Improvement Project for the Port of Aveiro, signed on 28th November with the design company Consulmar - Projectistas e Consultores, Lda. The total value of the contract is 278,350.00 euros, with an execution period of 210 days.
This strategic investment for the Port of Aveiro is part of the National Investment Programme 2030 and aims to prepare the project to carry out the works necessary to improve the navigability of the Port of Aveiro, as well as the corresponding Environmental Impact Study.
The main objective of this project is to accommodate larger ships, in order to strengthen the port's capacity to respond to market needs and increase its competitiveness.
The implementation of this project will have a significant impact on improving the quality of services provided in terms of reliability and safety of access conditions. It will also allow the Port of Aveiro to diversify its services and expand its business areas, which will help to strengthen its position in the hinterland and increase its competitiveness.
With this project, the Port of Aveiro reaffirms its commitment to modernising and improving its infrastructure, promoting sustainable and innovative development, which is directly reflected in the competitiveness of the companies that use its services.
