The fourth and final stakeholder meeting of the C2Impress project took place yesterday at the Port of Figueira da Foz.
The workshop aimed to evaluate and adapt the governance model co-designed in the third workshop for the management of natural disasters, and to create a shared vision of the resilience of the participants' territory.
The C2Impress project aims to improve understanding and awareness of the various risks to help build a society that can withstand disasters. The project involves 16 partners and four study areas in European countries and is coordinated by LNEC in Portugal. The Portuguese pilot region comprises the municipalities of Figueira da Foz and Montemor-o-Velho, where natural disasters such as river flooding are considered, as well as the risks associated with mooring and manoeuvring ships in ports in the context of climate change.
The project is funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation framework programme under financing agreement no. 101093956.
