On Monday 14 April, work will begin next to Sociedade de Pescas Miradouro, S.A. as part of the contract for the rehabilitation of the Avenida Marginal do Porto de Pesca do Largo de Aveiro, which started on 1 April.

To enable this work to be carried out, traffic management measures will be put in place. Thus, traffic on the Avenida Marginal for light and heavy vehicles will be one-way (Pascoal & Filhos – Sociedade de Pescas Miradouro). Access to the Miradouro company will remain unchanged. We ask for the understanding and cooperation of all users and request that they respect the temporary signs put in place to ensure everyone's safety.

The first phase of the work is expected to last five months as part of the overall upgrading plan, which will run until April next year. This project aims to strengthen the local infrastructure to make it more resilient to climate change and to upgrade the area to make it more functional.

Planned activities include the construction of a retaining wall (dyke wharf), reinforcement of the existing rockfill and installation of tide valves, as well as road interventions such as creation of new infrastructure, implementation of a cycle path and development of pavements and landscaping.
