On 7 May, the port hosted a business delegation from Macau as part of an initiative promoted by the Association for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Macau-China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (AEIMCPLP), the entity responsible for the 929 Challenge programme.

Organised for the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) and the Da Hengqin Fund, the business mission aimed to strengthen technological and commercial partnerships between Macao and Portugal, and to promote the future Sino-Lusophone Investment Fund, which is intended to stimulate economic cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

During the visit, the delegation representatives were able to explore the Port of Aveiro's infrastructure, logistical capabilities and commercial potential, and learn about ongoing investments and planned projects, with a particular focus on energy transition and sustainability.

The meeting reinforced the Port of Aveiro's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and promoting innovation and international cooperation as fundamental pillars for a more sustainable and competitive future.
