For two days, the Port of Aveiro was in Grenoble, France, to take part in the General Assembly of the European project Climate-Adapt4EOSC, held this week. The meeting marked a significant moment in the development of the project, which aims to promote open science and data-driven innovation, while strengthening resilience and adaptation to climate change.
The event brought together project partners in person, who had the opportunity to present progress and share experiences regarding the digital services and climate solutions being developed under the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
During the General Assembly, partners also had the chance to visit ARTELAB, the hydraulic modelling laboratory of the company Artelia, and to participate in several workshops.
Maria Manuel Cruz, head of the Environment department, represented the Port of Aveiro at the event.
This project, funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme, aims to create a set of interoperable digital services, FAIR data services (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable), and advanced analytical tools. These will equip researchers, policymakers and stakeholders with cutting-edge solutions for data retrieval, processing and analysis, in order to foster more effective climate adaptation efforts.
The project brings together 18 partners from 9 countries and includes researchers from several fields, namely climate science, environmental science, urban planning, information science, and social sciences.
More information about the project is available on the website or YouTube channel.
