Another meeting of the European A-AAGORA Atlantic-Arctic Mission project, “coastal restoration with nature and people,” is taking place in Paphos, Cyprus, this week, from November 10 to 13, with the participation of the Port of Aveiro, as a partner in the Portuguese demonstration project, which is being developed in the Central region, involving the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz.
The A-AAGORA project is entering its final phase, now promoting the replication of the solutions developed since 2022, with the collaboration and participation of the seven associated regions of Spain (2), Croatia (2), Greece, Cyprus, and Norway, as well as seeking synergies with the sister project CLIMAREST.
In particular, the Port of Aveiro is interested in replicating the carbon calculator dedicated to mobility, which was developed in partnership with the University of Aveiro, the coordinating partner of this project, and which is available for use by the entire port community, students, and/or citizens interested in understanding how they can improve their footprint.
This is a European consortium, co-financed by the European Union under the Horizon Europe Program, Grant No. 101093956 (A-AAgora), developed within the scope of Horizon Europe's “Restoring our ocean, seas, and waters by 2030” mission, led by the University of Aveiro and comprising 30 European partners, including the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz.
