
The Port of Aveiro welcomed this Tuesday the visit of Emma Cobos, Head of Innovation and Business Strategy at the Port of Barcelona. The visit aimed to deepen understanding of Aveiro’s port activity, its development projects, and the industrial ecosystem surrounding it.
The Innovation Director of the Port of Barcelona took the opportunity to tour several terminals of the Port of Aveiro, where she learned about recent projects and investments that have strengthened the competitiveness and efficiency of the infrastructure. The visit also included stops at companies operating within the port area, such as CSWind Portugal and Catana Group Portugal.
In the afternoon, a workshop was held in which Emma Cobos shared the Port of Barcelona’s vision regarding ongoing innovation projects in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, energy transition, and port innovation.
The visit reinforces the spirit of international cooperation among European ports and highlights the importance of knowledge sharing for the development of more innovative and sustainable solutions in the maritime-port sector.
Emma Cobos is responsible for the Innovation and Business Strategy area at the Port of Barcelona. With a career linked to logistics, shipping, and strategic development, Cobos currently leads the Blue Economy strategy at the Catalan port and has been dedicating her work to digital transformation and innovation.
