The Port of Aveiro hosted, yesterday, 14 January, a technical visit within the framework of the Interreg Europe – SPOTLOG project, a European initiative dedicated to last-mile logistics, with a focus on developing decarbonised and inclusive mobility systems. The project aims to promote socially responsible logistics systems, also supported by digital tools.
The visit aimed to introduce consortium partners to the different operational areas of the Port of Aveiro, as well as to its road and rail interface. According to the project coordinators, direct contact with the port’s operational reality represents an added value for joint reflection and the exchange of best practices in the field of sustainable logistics.
The SPOTLOG project consortium, supported by the Port of Aveiro, is composed of 13 partners from the European Union, joined by two partners from Ukraine and Moldova.
This initiative strengthens the connection between the University of Aveiro, the project coordinator, and the Port of Aveiro, fostering international cooperation and the discussion of innovative and sustainable solutions to address current logistics and transport challenges.
