The general meeting of Climate-Adapt4EOSC, a European project aimed, among other objectives, at sharing climate data within the scientific community, began today, February 3. The event brings together partners of the consortium—of which the Port of Aveiro Administration is a member—for three days of work dedicated to monitoring and advancing the project’s activities, namely the validation of interoperable digital services, advanced analytical tools, and the preparation of FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).

The event is being organized by the Port of Aveiro, in collaboration with the Portuguese case study leader LNEC – National Laboratory for Civil Engineering, and includes several working sessions as well as a technical visit to the study area, namely the Aveiro lagoon and the Port of Aveiro facilities.

The Climate-Adapt4EOSC project, integrated into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), aims to remove barriers to access to climate data and promote interaction with operational climate data spaces, creating a collaborative research environment that enables the seamless exchange of data among researchers and other stakeholders, thereby contributing to climate change adaptation.

The project involves 18 partners from 9 countries and has received funding from the Horizon Europe Framework Programme under Grant Agreement No. 101188248.
