Aveiro Port Day, marked on 3 April, celebrates the 218th anniversary of the opening of the Barra this year. As part of these celebrations, Aveiro Port is organising two open tours for the public on 12 April. The first session is already fully booked, but places are still available for the 11.30 am tour.
The initiative invites the whole community to get a close-up look at one of the country’s most important port infrastructures, offering a unique experience of the operational areas and port activity. As in previous years, this open visit aims to bring the port closer to the community, promoting awareness of how it operates, its history and its future projects.
Participation is free, but registration is compulsory. Full details of the programme and conditions of participation are available on the Port of Aveiro website.
