The 5GAIner lab dedicated to 5G and artificial intelligence was opened this Tuesday, November 16th, at the Aveiro University Campus. This project is the result of a partnership between the University of Aveiro, the Institute of Telecommunications and Huawei, aiming to support the Industry in the scope of 5G and Artificial Intelligence.

One of the highlights of this event was the presentation of the 5G Pilot in the railway access to the Port of Aveiro, as the first level Crossing Control system in the country supported on 5G communications, installed in partnership with EFACEC.

The opening of 5GAlner was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, and the CEO Huawei Portugal, Tony Li.
