Within the framework of the presentation of the study of the hinterland of the logistics-intermodal platform of Salamanca, Isabel Moura Ramos, Member of the Board of Directors, presented the strategic investments to be made in the coming years in the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz, reinforcing the importance of its implementation for the development of the Atlantic Corridor, as a green logistics corridor, strategic in trade relations between Portugal and Spain and Europe.

The creation of the Salamanca logistics platform is essential to expand the natural hinterland of these ports and increase the competitiveness of the Centre Region and the Region of Castile-Leon, considering its strategic location for the entry of goods into Spain and the rest of Europe, along with the future Intermodal Terminal of the Port of Aveiro and the improved maritime accessibility of both ports, which will boost the transport of goods in the Atlantic Corridor.
