The Port of Aveiro registered a growth of 1.7% in the month of August, compared to the same period of the previous year, moving 438,294 tons. In the accumulated of the year there was an increase of 3.5%, in a total of 3,887,251 tonnes.
The solid bulks were the type of cargo that grew most in the month under analysis, with an increase of 12.6%, driven by non-metallic minerals.
In August, the exports registered a good performance once more, with an increase of 8,1% compared with the previous year.
During this month, 87 ships called at the Port of Aveiro.
Finally, it is important to mention that, since the beginning of the year, 24 ships departed at night.
