A cooperation protocol between APA - Administração do Porto de Aveiro and CODEBA - Companhia das Docas do Estado da Baía was signed on 25 November. This protocol aims to promote the exchange between the two port authorities with regard to the achievement of common interests in areas such as technological development, innovation, vocational training and trade promotion.
The protocol, signed by Eduardo Feio, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Port of Aveiro, and Carlos Autran, CEO of Companhia das Docas do Estado da Bahia, reinforces the historical and cultural ties between Portugal and Brazil, especially the friendly relations, as well as the bilateral cooperation.
It is important to mention that the Port of Aveiro receives ships from Brazil whose cargo, in 2021, represented about 12% of the total handled. The types of cargo are wood and agro-food products.
