Porto de Aveiro takes part in the 1st Iberian Intermodality Conference

The Port of Aveiro Administration took part in the first Iberian Intermodality Conference, held on 15 September at the Granja do Ulmeiro–Alfarelos Multimodal Terminal.

Valter Rainho, member of the Port Administration, took part in the Port Authorities panel, contributing to the debate on the development of more efficient intermodal solutions, port competitiveness and the strengthening of connections to the industrial and logistics hinterland.

The event brought together experts, companies, public authorities and industry representatives to promote knowledge sharing, dialogue and the creation of new bridges towards more efficient, sustainable and competitive mobility.

The conference was attended by the Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Hugo Espírito Santo, fostering discussion and reflection on Iberian logistics and rail corridors, while highlighting the strategic importance of the Alfarelos–Granja do Ulmeiro Multimodal Terminal.

The conference was promoted by the Municipality of Soure, the Portuguese Freight Forwarders Association (APAT) and the Spanish Transport Association (AET).
