The Port of Aveiro Administration (APA) took part in the closing event of the ATE Agenda – Alliance for the Energy Transition, held on 7 October at Pestana Palácio do Freixo, in Porto. Under the theme “From Strategy to Legacy”, the event brought together partners and stakeholders to present the results achieved and discuss the future of the energy transition.
The Port of Aveiro’s participation in the Alliance for the Energy Transition project, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) through the European Union, focused on the development of an Energy Hub to supply electricity to ships, vehicles and port facilities. The solution integrates renewable energy generation, energy storage and microgrids, supported by advanced predictive management systems.
The project aimed to increase the production and use of renewable energy at the port, promote the supply of clean energy to ships during their stay and support electric mobility. It also sought to modernise the energy infrastructure and improve energy production and consumption management, contributing to the decarbonisation of port operations.
