On March 5, the Administration of the Port of Aveiro assigned the works of the 2nd phase of the infrastructure work of ZALI - Zone of Logistics and Industrial Activities of the Port of Aveiro for the amount of 3,548,400 €, with an execution time of 295 days.

It is expected that, during the first quarter of 2022, the construction of roads and their infrastructure with water and sewage networks and fire prevention networks will be completed.

With the completion of this investment, ZALI will be equipped with all the infrastructures necessary for the installation of industrial and logistics units, which will be able to have access to a dedicated quay front, which is a unique competitive logistical offer in the national port context.

The Port of Aveiro thus reinforces its strategy of expansion and industrialisation, with a view to increasing private investment and exports.

The investment for the construction of the infrastructures of the second phase of ZALI is financed in 44.67% by the Cohesion Fund, under the Competitiveness and Internationalisation Operational Programme (COMPETE 2020).
